2010 (PILOT GRANTEE)

Hot Bread Kitchen selects, trains, and helps place cohorts of women in baking and food manufacturing jobs.

Hot Bread Kitchen provides an intensive, paid on-the-job program for women facing economic insecurity. By learning the trade of bread baking, women from around the world leverage talent and passion to launch careers in food manufacturing.

In 2010, as a pilot grant, Arbor Rising partnered with the Hot Bread Kitchen management team on a number of key deliverables, including: 

  • A Financial Model — for use in production, cash management, and tracking key outcomes

  • Communication Materials — to convey Hot Bread Kitchen’s unique value proposition to prospective funding partners
