Green City Force
2011-2014
Green City Force prepares urban youth to succeed in their chosen careers by engaging them in service, training, and work experiences in the clean energy economy.
GCF engages teams of public housing residents aged 18-24, providing work experience on projects related to energy efficiency, urban agriculture, and sustainability, along with academic and technical skills in the classroom. Participants earn a monthly stipend and receive support for finding a job or getting into college upon program completion.
Arbor Rising partnered with the Green City Force management team on a number of key deliverables, including:
Financial Model — to monitor fundraising progress, create multiyear budget projections, and track key programmatic outcomes
Communication Materials — to convey Green City Force’s unique value proposition to prospective funding partners
Service Stream Selection Tool — to optimize the portfolio of workforce development engagement opportunities
