Empowered Network

2024 - Present

Too often, services end as soon as a trafficking survivor achieves basic stability, even though barriers surrounding employment access and housing remain. When these systemic issues are addressed, survivors become their own solution. Empowered Network (EN) collaborates with trafficking survivors to achieve their economic freedom.

Empowered Network works one-on-one with survivors to design 12–18 month empowerment plans that address their individual housing, career, and education barriers through funding and advocacy. Every Member in the network receives goal-oriented mentorship and guidance from their advocate for the duration of their engagement. While each plan is unique, the goal is always the same: to achieve fiscal independence and thereby end generational cycles of poverty and exploitation.

Arbor Rising is partnering with the Empowered Network management team on a number of key deliverables, including:

  • Theory of change — codifying the intervention and clarifying key outcomes.
